John Krasinski and Matthew Rhys are teaming up for a new Prime Video series titled Silent River. The thriller explores the lives of two men in a small American town as they uncover shocking secrets, including the presence of a serial killer. Krasinski, known for his work on Jack Ryan and A Quiet Place, will not only star but also direct the pilot and several episodes. Rhys, acclaimed for his role in The Americans, will co-lead. The series is created by Aaron Rabin and directed by Andrew Bernstein, both veterans of Jack Ryan.
Krasinski's production company, Sunday Night, continues its strong partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. This marks another major collaboration between the studio and Krasinski, extending his first-look deal. The project brings together familiar creative partners, including Bernstein, who previously worked with both Krasinski and Rhys on separate projects. Vernon Sanders, head of TV at Amazon MGM Studios, praised the series as a gripping psychological thriller.
Krasinski’s latest endeavors include the film IF for Paramount, while Rhys has been busy with Netflix’s The Beast in Me and several high-profile movies. With a powerhouse cast and creative team, Silent River promises to deliver a suspenseful exploration of small-town mysteries and human connections.
