Samsung is extending its foldable line into a new shape with the Galaxy Z TriFold, a device that carries the footprint of a regular phone when closed but expands into a tablet sized display for work, creation and video. The internal screen spans 10 inches on a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, while a separate cover display provides everyday phone use without unfolding the device.

Inside, the TriFold uses a reinforced hinge system and reworked display stack to handle two folding points while keeping the chassis thin and relatively light. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite platform tuned for Galaxy, paired with a 200 megapixel main camera and a three part 5,600 mAh battery that is distributed across the panels for balance and long run time.

Samsung has also tuned the software to take advantage of the wide format. Users can keep three apps open side by side, pull up layouts from a persistent taskbar and switch into a full DeX workspace without an external screen. Galaxy AI tools for editing, browsing and live assistance are available across the larger canvas, positioning the Galaxy Z TriFold as both a pocketable workstation and an all in one viewing device.
