Sony is rolling out full cloud streaming support for its PlayStation Portal, bringing console-quality gaming to players without needing to connect to a PS5. Starting tonight, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can instantly stream select titles directly from the cloud, expanding access to the PS5 library anywhere with a stable connection.
The launch lineup includes more than 2,000 compatible titles, from blockbuster releases like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Resident Evil 4 to major catalog favorites including God of War Ragnarök and Cyberpunk 2077. Players can browse a new Portal interface with dedicated tabs for Remote Play, Cloud Streaming, and Search, making navigation faster and more intuitive.
Alongside cloud gaming, PlayStation has introduced 3D audio support, new accessibility options, and the ability to accept multiplayer invites or join games directly. A redesigned network status dashboard now provides detailed connectivity feedback to help users optimize their streaming performance.
This update marks a major step in Sony’s goal to expand gaming beyond the console, blending hardware and cloud innovation to give players flexibility and control over how they play.
