The Beer Store Announces 11 More Closures Across Ontario

The Beer Store is shutting down 11 more locations in Ontario on September 28, 2025, as part of its ongoing response to changes in the province’s alcohol retail market. This follows 20 closures in August and another 10 set for September 10.

The cuts come after Ontario expanded alcohol sales to convenience stores and additional grocery stores. To support the transition, the provincial government signed a $225 million agreement with The Beer Store, helping retain 300 locations until December 31, 2025.

The following stores will close September 28:

  • Brampton – 10585 Bramalea Road
  • Bala – 3025 Highway #169
  • Clinton – 30 Mill Street
  • Morrisburg – 111 Main Street
  • Norwich – 49 Stover Street South
  • Red Lake – 35 Birks Drive
  • Rodney – 167 Queen Street
  • Sharbot Lake – 24585 Highway #7
  • South Porcupine – 4145 Harold Avenue
