Nintendo’s September Direct celebrated 40 years of Super Mario Bros. with major reveals. Highlights included The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (April 2026), remasters of Galaxy 1 & 2 (October 2), a new Mario Tennis Fever for 2026, and Yoshi’s Mysterious Book launching next spring.

Fans finally got a release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond on December 4, plus new Amiibo. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave was announced for 2026, alongside Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment (November 6) and Dragon Quest 7: Reimagined (February 2026).

Third-party titles boosted the lineup: Final Fantasy 7 Remake arrives January 22, with Resident Evil 7, Village, and Requiem following in February. Indie games like Hades 2 (September 25) and DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Donkey Kong Bananza rounded out the showcase.
