Tesla has introduced a new horn for the Cybertruck, called the "Superhorn," and it’s not your typical car horn. Instead of the old trumpet-style horn, the Superhorn is a sleek speaker that handles more than just honking. It also powers the Pedestrian Warning System (PWS) and works with the Boombox feature, letting parked Cybertrucks play custom sounds. Positioned near the front passenger-side wheel, it’s a modern upgrade that fits the truck’s futuristic style.
Lead Cybertruck Engineer Wes Morrill explained that Tesla made the switch after getting regulatory approval for the Superhorn. Now, new Cybertrucks make a bold “BRRTTT” sound instead of the classic “MEEEP.” Older models still include both the old horn and the new Superhorn, but Tesla has confirmed that newer versions won’t allow a return to the traditional horn setup.
The Superhorn highlights Tesla’s push to innovate and rethink even small features like a vehicle’s horn. It’s practical, stylish, and fits perfectly with the forward-thinking design of the Cybertruck. This update isn’t just about sound—it’s about making the Cybertruck feel even more modern and cutting-edge.
