- Ad-free premium increases $3 to $18.99/month.
- Annual premium subscriptions climb to $189.99.
- Bundled Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ plans also get price hikes.
Disney will raise subscription prices for Disney+ in the U.S. starting Oct. 21, marking the fourth straight year of increases. The ad-supported tier will now cost $11.99 per month, while the ad-free premium jumps to $18.99. Annual ad-free subscriptions will rise $30 to $189.99.
The hikes come as Disney works to strengthen profits from streaming. Bundled packages with Hulu and ESPN+ are also affected, according to company updates. Disney+ originally launched in 2019 at $6.99 per month and first turned a profit last year.
The move follows earlier price increases in 2022, 2023, and 2024, reflecting a broader strategy to turn digital platforms into a reliable growth engine despite ongoing political scrutiny and shifting consumer habits.
