'And Just Like That…’ Officially Canceled After Three Seasons

HBO Max has confirmed that And Just Like That…, the sequel series to Sex and the City, will officially end with its third season. The final two episodes are set to air on August 14, bringing the story of Carrie Bradshaw and her friends to a close.

Showrunner Michael Patrick King announced that while writing the final episode, it felt like the right time to conclude the series. The season was extended from 10 to 12 episodes to give the characters a proper sendoff. Star Sarah Jessica Parker also paid tribute to her long-standing role, calling the journey of playing Carrie Bradshaw for 27 years a “lifetime of debt and joy.”

The show’s cancellation comes despite a strong following and the return of iconic characters. Its ending marks the final chapter in the Sex and the City universe — at least for now.
