In 2024, the U.S. created more than 1,000 new millionaires daily, totaling over 379,000 new individuals with a net worth of at least $1 million, according to UBS’s 2025 Global Wealth Report. This surge helped the U.S. account for nearly 40% of all global millionaires, fueled by strong financial markets and a stable dollar.
Globally, personal wealth increased by 4.6%, with the Americas seeing a particularly strong 11% gain. The report noted that while Greater China led in the number of individuals with a net worth between $100,000 and $1 million, most of the world’s population—over 80%—still holds under $100,000 in net assets.
Looking ahead, UBS projects that average wealth per adult will continue to climb, especially in the United States and Greater China. The report highlights the growing disparity in wealth distribution, even as more individuals enter millionaire status in top-performing economies.
