Mark Zuckerberg has unveiled Meta’s most advanced consumer smart glasses yet. The $799 Ray-Ban Display model features a high-resolution digital display controlled by the Meta Neural Band, letting wearers navigate with hand gestures. The display overlays video, text, and notifications without blocking vision and disappears when idle.
Alongside the flagship release, Meta introduced Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses for sports, offering 3K video capture, nine-hour battery life, and fitness watch integration. The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 also debuted, priced at $379 with double the battery life of its predecessor and improved cameras.
The rollout underscores Meta’s bet on wearable tech while Orion AR glasses remain experimental. The Ray-Ban Display glasses launch September 30 in the U.S., with Horizon TV expanding VR streaming experiences later this year.
