Challenges
Children’s apparel is bought by parents but designed to delight children, and the brand has to satisfy both without becoming saccharine. Petits Vauriens needed an identity that felt playful and well-made, plus a storefront where browsing by size and category was effortless on a phone.
Approach
We built the identity around a playful, child-appropriate visual language that parents would still find tasteful, then extended it into packaging and labels. The storefront was designed around browsing by size and category, the way parents actually shop, with product photography given room to carry the quality. Checkout was kept short and the whole build was optimized for mobile.

Outcomes
Petits Vauriens launched with a brand that reads as playful and premium at once, and a storefront where parents can find the right size quickly and check out without friction.

The primary objectives for the Petits Vauriens website were to ensure the website is easy to navigate, allowing users to find and purchase products effortlessly. Additional goals were to create a shopping environment that feels welcoming and comfortable for users, to design the site to appeal to all genders while avoiding stereotypes and ensuring inclusivity, and to utilize a child-friendly color palette and engaging imagery to attract and retain visitors.

High-quality images showcasing the brand’s products in real-life settings were prioritized to help users visualize the clothing on children and add an emotional connection to the shopping experience.

A child-friendly color palette was chosen for the website, incorporating pastel colors such as blue, green, pink, and yellow, selected for their soothing and non-intrusive qualities to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

The typography combined Helvetica Neue and Poppins. Helvetica Neue was chosen for its clean, modern appearance ensuring readability and a professional look, while Poppins added a touch of playfulness with its rounded, friendly characteristics.

The website’s layout was designed with simplicity in mind, featuring a clear and intuitive navigation structure that allowed users to easily browse categories, filter products, and complete purchases. Key features such as search functionality, product recommendations, and customer reviews were prominently integrated to enhance the shopping experience.
